Founded in 2005, Stiftelsen Studio Emad Eddin is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the development of performing arts across different disciplines in Egypt and the Arab world.

Our mission

Our mission is to create an artistic and cultural atmosphere which is neutral and alternative, one which expands the foundation of artistic practice and helps independent performing artists in Egypt and the Arab world establish continuity in developing, creating and connecting with artists and institutions across the world.

Festivals & Showcases

SSEE Foundation is a proud supporter of the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF); Egypt's biggest multidisciplinary festival. It also supports The Arab Arts Focus; aiming to promote Arab talent in the fields of performing arts by distributing as well as producing performances and showcases

Arts & Culture Spaces

Supporting Studio Emad Eddin in Cairo; offering rehearsal spaces to independent artists.

Rawabet Art Space; aiming to grow the independent art scene in Egypt whilst giving a platform for young talents to shine.

Maktabi Creative Office Spaces offering designed private offices for short & long-term rentals.

Capacity Building

The foundation supports workshops and training programmes offered at Studio Emad Eddin as well as 2b Continued Festival & Lab which gives an opportunity for young artists to receive a mentorship programme and showcase their work to a real audience.

In 2019, the foundation started The Backstage Technical Professionalization Programme aiming to build the basic technical competencies and to enable youth around Ezbet Khayrallah to work in the field of artistic production
